Content Strategy
Overview
I worked with a four-person team to perform a content inventory and audit for a government resource company. The content catalog comprised over 500 resources (mainly videos with supplemental materials) geared toward professional development. My team created an Excel audit workbook with an entire categorized catalogue of the client’s content library.
Goals
The goal of the audit was to identify opportunities for the library and its assets that will increase business value and subscriber rate for the betterment
of the company.
Approach
Our team reported the findings of our audit where we discussed strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. We detailed our findings in the supporting Excel document, which cataloged and ranked each asset on criteria that would affect business value.
We assessed each resource in five different areas:
Due to scale, usability and findability were evaluated holistically, while brand voice, business value, and accuracy rated each individual resource. To the right is a screenshot of the “Accuracy” assessment. I handled this portion of the report, as well as auditing every resource for working links.
Outcome
The content assessment report (linked below) provides detailed recommendations and commendations for the company. Implementing an organizational system with metadata was a top recommendation.
